Welcome to Braindump AI. By downloading or using this app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Braindump AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Braindump AI is a voice-to-text productivity app that allows you to:

  • Record and transcribe your thoughts in real time
  • Generate AI-powered action points from your transcriptions
  • Manage contacts, to-do lists, and sharing history
  • Send summaries via Email or SMS

3. User Accounts

You may sign in using Google, Apple, or as a Guest.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • Guest accounts may have limited functionality and data may not be recoverable if the session ends.
  • You must not share your account credentials with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Braindump AI only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the App to record, transcribe, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
  • Use the App to violate the privacy of others
  • Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content through the App's sharing features

5. Microphone and Permissions

The App requests access to your microphone for live transcription. By granting these permissions, you confirm you have the right to record any conversations captured through the App and that you comply with applicable recording consent laws in your jurisdiction.

6. AI-Generated Content

Action points and summaries are generated by an AI model (OpenAI) and are provided for productivity assistance only. Braindump AI makes no guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described therein.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within Braindump AI are the property of the Braindump AI team and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without prior written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including:

  • Firebase by Google — authentication and data storage
  • OpenAI — AI-powered transcription summaries
  • Email / SMS APIs — for sending messages directly from your device

These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Braindump AI is not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Braindump AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Braindump AI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

Contact Email: ask@katelangford.com.au Common Questions - Microphone not working? Go to Settings → Privacy → Microphone and make sure Braindump is enabled. - Transcription not accurate? Speak clearly in a quiet environment. A stable internet connection improves AI accuracy. - SMS not sending? Make sure the phone number includes the country code (e.g. +1 for United States). - Email not sending? Check the email address is entered correctly in your contacts list inside the app. - History not showing? History only shows transcriptions that have been shared. Save to to-do list first if you want to review before sharing. - Dark mode not switching? Go to app Settings and toggle the theme manually or check your device system theme settings.
