Braindump is designed with your privacy in mind.


1. Information We Collect


When you use Braindump, the following data is collected and stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud):


- Transcriptions you create

- Action points generated from your transcriptions

- Contact names, phone numbers and email addresses you add

- Your to-do list items

- Your sharing history

- Your theme preference


2. Microphone Usage


Braindump uses your microphone only for live transcription. Your audio is processed in real time on your device and is never stored or transmitted as an audio file.


3. AI Processing


When you generate action points, your transcription text is sent to our AI provider temporarily to create a summary. This data is not sold or used for any purpose beyond generating your action points.


4. Sharing Features


When you send via Email or SMS, messages are sent directly from your device using Rest Apis for Email and SMS. Braindump does not intercept or store the content of sent messages.


5. Permissions We Request


Microphone - required for live transcription.

Contacts - optional, helps you pick recipients faster.


You can deny optional permissions and still use the app normally.


6. Data Storage


Your app data is stored securely on Firebase, a cloud platform provided by Google. Firebase is protected by industry standard security measures. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.


7. Third Party Services


We use the following third party services:


Firebase by Google - for data storage and authentication.

AI provider (Open AI) - to convert transcriptions into action points.


These services have their own privacy policies and handle data in accordance with their terms.


8. Data Deletion


You can delete any contact directly from list and it will be permanently deleted.


9. Children's Privacy


Braindump is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.


10. Changes to This Policy


We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
